This sounds very similar to another online fitness community, www.fitfiend.com. However, this seems to be much more video focused.

Stan, thanks for clarifying. There is certainly something to be said for simplicity, and there are scores of failed Web 2.0 start-ups out there whose cause-of-death was that they tried to include everything out of the box. I don't think that there's always a clear answer, but in the end I think it comes down to who has a better understanding of the solution- the author(s) or the community?

I'd just like to emphasize that what I'm talking about here is not keeping it simple for simplicity's sake; I'm talking about keeping it simple and letting the community create the extra features for you. Twitter would be nothing without its API and all those wonderful little apps based on it.

It seems that business based Web 2.0 with a one sided perspective of simply making a profit has little value in the online world and can be considered spam. Thanks for reviewing Apture! I'm glad you like it. One of the biggest features, though, is the ability to add multiple links of related media to one keyword. So if you linked to frogs, you could associate the Wikipedia article, you tube video, and even a slide show about Kermit all in one link.

Ron, I admit I had a difficult time following your paper, but I think that I see the overall construct. Thank you for taking the time to point this out! As a blogger, I am an information pack-rat. I save links and articles and thoughts all over and have a system for retrieving this information that works most of the time. I'm always interested in learning about knowledge and productivity systems and would welcome your further comments on the subject.
